EVR are running a focus group exploring experiences engaging with the news media, and with shaping narratives around COVID-19 and racisms. The outcome of the group will be the co-creation of one set of media engagement tips to support ESEA communities, as well as a set of engagement guidelines for the media, which advises on our suggested standards of conduct and outreach. Taken together, we aim to work toward more ethical representation and inclusion of our communities in mainstream media.

This initiative is a partnership with ESEA Online Community Hub, led by Dr Diana Yeh, Senior Lecturer of Sociology at City University of London.
